Rimmel Scandaleyes Volume Flash mascara in 003 Extreme Black
Just to get it out of the way: this mascara is not great.
When starting to explore a little more with makeup last semester, I picked up this mascara because it was packaged with a Scandaleyes Kohl eye pencil for the same price as just a tube of mascara. Bargain!
This mascara is a great dark black, there's no fall out, and it stays on all day. It does lengthen your lashes, and give a more dramatic look. That's what I use this mascara for. On days where I have a dark smokey eye, a less dramatic lip color, no eye makeup, or just an overall intense look, I go for this mascara. The only reason I reach for this mascara, however, is because it's the only "dramatic" one I currently own and I want to use it up. My other mascara is just for darkening and defining lashes, which is great for a less defined eye look to play up a bright lip.
The Scandaleyes mascara extremely clumpy after only two coats. My lashes stick together and just generally look goopy and caked with product, which is not the look I'm going for. However, as the day goes on the mascara looks better and better (probably because of accidentally rubbing my eyes).

The brush is massive, and while I definitely like bristle brushes rather than plastic ones, this one has so much product on it all the time (you can kind of see in the photo above) and it's super hard not to get the mascara on your upper or lower lids while applying, since the bristles are so big.
Here are some photos of what my eyelashes look like with this mascara on. It's kind of hard to tell the caked on quality from the photos, sadly. It seems as if this mascara looks okay from an outsiders POV, which is why I don't mind continuing to use it.
no mascara
one to two-ish coats
two to three-ish coats
As you can see it definitely does get clumpy the more you apply and only slightly defines. I think the trick is to layer it while it's still wet and not go too heavy. I really wanted to try Rimmel's new Retroglam mascara, which is right up my alley, but I worry the formula would be the same! Maybe I'll look up some reviews online.
All in all, I would not recommend as there are so many better dramatic mascaras out there, and will not repurchase.
Have you had a bad experience with Rimmel's mascara? A good one?
I wanted to get this mascara as I loved the Scandal Eyes eye pencils and I thought this would be great quality aswell.. But then my sister tried it out and threw it in the bin after a few days! She has naturally long lashes, and it managed to make them look shorter somehow..! So it's safe to say I won't be trying it.. x

It's good to know that someone else had the same not so great experience as I did (but not so great that it happened, if you know what I mean). Thank you for your comment!
